The 2016 Annual Membership Meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Registration will open at 6:30 P.M.

The meeting will be held in the Shelby Twp. Municipal Building Main Board Room, 52700 Van Dyke, Shelby Twp., MI 48316.

The purpose of this meeting is to elect three members to the Board of Directors for one-year terms was well as to review last year’s accomplishments and plans for the coming year.

You should have already received a notice of this meeting via US Mail, along with a blank Nominating Ballot and General Proxy form.  If not, please contact Casa Bella Property Management at 248-655-1500.

You may use the Nominating Ballot to nominate one or more candidates for the Board of Directors election.  You must obtain the nominee's signature prior to submitting the Ballot.

If you know that you will be unable to attend or even if you are not sure, please fill out the General Proxy form and give it to a trusted neighbor who will be attending the meeting.  By completing and returning your Proxy form, it counts towards the meeting's quorum requirement and you are empowering that person to vote on your behalf.  If it later turns out that you can attend the meeting, your General Proxy will be voided when you register at the door and you will be able to cast your own votes.

Golf and Support the CTF at the same time

What is the CTF?

The Children's Tumor Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non‐profit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by Neurofibromatosis (NF).  The CTF supports research that develops treatments for NF and they also support people with NF and their families by providing thorough, accurate, current and readily accessible information about the disorder.

How can you support the CTF?

Manors co-owner Linda Bouford is organizing the "Douglas R. Bouford Memorial Golf Outing" as a fundraiser for the CTF and she is looking for golfers, sponsors and prize donors willing to help make it a success.

Her 3 year old grandson Nicolas Cohoon has NF and this is a cause that is dear to her.  The golf outing will be at Sycamore Hills on Friday afternoon, Aug. 24, 2012 and is named in memory of her recently departed son.

Contact and outing information plus a registration form can all be found here.  You can also register on-line by clicking here.

Names and addresses

Thank you for all of the positive feedback I've received so far about this blog. One suggestion I received was a request to add a list containing the names and addresses of all co-owners.

Rather than compile and maintain such a list on my own, I have added some "Useful Links" to the public information that is available through the Shelby Twp. Assessing office's Property & Land Search database. This information is updated within days after a property sale, so it is always current. Click on one of the "Co-owners on ...." links and it will give you a list of all the properties on that street, along with the names of each co-owner. Note that the list is spread across multiple pages - you can either click on the page numbers at lower right to navigate the complete list or click on the "Printer friendly version" link at upper right to see (and print) the entire list for that street. The properties are listed in street address order and if you click on the Parcel Number link for a property, it will open up the complete record for that parcel, which includes the assessment and sales data.

I have also added a link to ZabaSearch, which is a free people/public information search engine. By entering a first and/or last name, plus the state, this search engine will return all publicly-available information for that name, including phone numbers (if available). The information returned by ZabaSearch is not as current as the Shelby Twp. assessing data, since it can take 18 to 24 months for a new address to show up in their results.
